May 2002 to June 2024Associate Legal Officer, International Criminal Tribunal For The Former Yugoslavia/International Residual Mechanism for Criminal Tribunals, The Hague, The Netherlands1. Assisted in the deliberations of Chambers in its decision making, inter alia, providing researched advice, preparing reasoned draft decisions for the consideration by the Judges together with constructive suggestions on drafts prepared by team members in the Chamber. 2. Assisted in Trial Management issues, courtroom attendance and liaison with Prosecution and Registry Officers concerning witnesses, trial exhibits and trial schedule to ensure smooth running of the trial. 3. Compiled and structured the evidence obtained during the trial to facilitate deliberation by the Trial Chamber before issuance of orders, decisions, or judgments. 4. Organised and implemented court-ordered missions. 5. Organised and handled exhibits both in and out of the courtroom to ensure the integrity and completeness of evidence introduced during the proceedings. 6. Maintained trial schedule and monitored courtroom usage to ensure the most efficient use of available courtroom time. 7. Responded to Requests for Assistance (“RFA”), and orders for disclosure of public and confidential documents, including the provision of evidentiary material to state courts hearing cases in the former Yugoslavia, where applicable. 8. As part of the Judicial Services Section, performed Registry (Duty Officer) functions relating to provisional releases, including Rule 75ter releases, arrival of new accused, acquittals, and transfer of detained witnesses. 9. Established and maintained procedures and safeguards to ensure the integrity of the evidentiary material in the assigned cases. 10. Established and maintained procedures and safeguards to ensure confidential and confidential and ex parte material is accessed and disseminated only by authorized persons. 11. Assisted the pre-trial Judge and the Senior Legal Officer in the management of pre-trial cases. 12. Prepare minutes of judicial proceedings. ACCOMPLISHMENTS: Contributed to the successful completion of many high-profile cases at the Tribunals, namely the cases against Radovan Karadzic, Ratko Mladic, Vojisdlav Seselj, amongst others.

July 2000 – April 2002Legal Officer, International Committee of the Red Cross, South Asian delegation, New Delhi, India1. Responsible for the dissemination of international humanitarian law (IHL) to the academic community. 2. Assisted the Regional Legal Advisor in dealing with matters concerning national implementation of IHL. 3. Established and maintained contacts with academic institutions. 4. Researched on topics of contemporary interest to the Regional Delegation of the ICRC. 5. Provided legal advice on issued relating to operational/field activities especially related to matters concerning Judicial Guarantees and Political Detainees. ACCOMPLISHMENTS: 1. Was instrumental in organising the Henry Dunant Memorial IHL Moot Court Competition. 2. Conducted numerous IHL workshops and seminars for the academic community in the South Asian region. July 2000 – April 2002Private law practice, Bangalore, India1. Handled civil and criminal cases in the Trial Courts, Magistrate Courts and the High Court of Karnataka; 2. Appeared as court-appointed Amicus Curiae before the High Court of Karnataka in criminal appeals cases. ACCOMPLISHMENTS: Several cases were reported in the law journals and performance was greatly appreciated by the Presiding judges. April 1999 – February 2000Law Practice, Harsha & Co., Bangalore, India1. Involved in civil and criminal law litigation at the Trial Courts, Debt Recovery Tribunal and the High Court of Karnataka. 2. Involved in the conveyancing and drafting of legal documents. 3. Involved in the arbitration and negotiation of legal claims and disputes. 4. Furnished legal opinions for various projects undertaken by individuals and corporates, inter alia, land acquisition, real estate disputes and the like. ACCOMPLISHMENTS: Handled several criminal cases and appeals successfully and made effective arguments before various judicial fora.
